Triple Canopy is pleased to present How Far Is Near, a series of conversations at Material Art Fair in Mexico City, February 6–8. The series considers the ways in which political representation might be achieved—or recognized as a chimera, or disavowed—through the work of representing politics, and focuses on the various responses by Mexican artists and writers to social and political crises in recent months and decades. Participants include Juan Caloca, Maru Calva, José León Cerrillo, Felipe Ehrenberg, Waysatta Fernández, John Gibler, Gabriela Jauregui, Prem Krishnamurthy, Sofía Olascoaga, and Isaac Torres.
