  • Mary Walling Blackburn is an artist living in New York. Forthcoming work includes a pro-choice, photo-illustrated children's book for e-flux. She is the director of the Anhoek School, an educational experiment, and organizer of the Radical Citizenship Tutorials.
  • A. B. Huber is a professor at NYU’s Gallatin School for Individualized Study whose current work is focused on the force and form of critique in times of war.
"Flash Made Flesh" was commissioned by Triple Canopy through its 2010 call for proposals for the Thinking Through Images project area, supported in part by the Brown Foundation, Inc. of Houston.
