Triple Canopy honored novelist, short-story writer, and critic Lynne Tillman at its 2014 benefit. On the occasion, Triple Canopy published a booklet with cover art by Paul Chan and Jean Paulhan, intimate photographs of Tillman, and reflections on her life and work by writers like Etel Adnan, Hilton Als, and Lydia Davis. Als writes: “Lynne Tillman was one of the first writers I ever knew in the real world who taught me something about the real world, which included, of course, the universe of her prodigious imagination.” Tillman also reflects on Lynne Tillman as author and narrator: “She is not I, and even I am not myself.”
